January 2026 newsletter

Let’s talk about the obvious, how to slow down the aging process, how to sleep and eat better, and getting enough Vitamin D.

Happy New year, everyone.  I wish you a healthy and prosperous 2026.  More importantly, I wish you newfound peace and contentment, two priceless commodities that are hard to find and difficult to maintain.  Obviously, you probably want to make at least one new year resolution, since January 1st is one of those special days that signify a new beginning.  Kind of like Mondays, only less frequent.  I have one suggestion, and the scientific support is in the next article.  The one thing you can do, and it won’t cost you a dime, is to move more often throughout the day.  That’s it.  Get up, move around, don’t sit too long.  Every day for the rest of your life.  Dr. Ben

Watch this very sweet video of a musician singing to different animals.  https://www.facebook.com/reel/619457311189549

Also, my wife and I watched the documentary My Octopus Teacher last night.  It was amazing, and very sweet.  It was on Netflicks.

THOUGHTS FOR THE MONTH

Art is how we decorate space, music is how we decorate time. -Jean-Michel Basquiat

(This was today’s Bible verse:) “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.  See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18,19

“Cowardice asks the question, is it safe?  Expediency asks the question, is it politic?  Vanity asks the question, is it popular?  But conscience asks the question, is it right?  The ultimate measure of a person is not where they stand in moments of convenience, but where they stand in moments of challenge, moments of crisis and controversy.”  Martin Luther King
