Let’s talk about your brain getting older, rest to get stronger and rest to stay healthier, and healthy eating.
I love summer. It’s my favorite time of year. June 1st is the unofficial beginning of summer and June 21st is the summer solstice, officially the beginning of summer and the longest day of the year. I think I like summertime because of all the light and because I prefer heat over cold. However you choose to embrace this season, please remember that excessive exposure to the sun is bad news for your skin, but you still need a few minutes of sunlight per day for Vitamin D production.
Also, studies show that exposure to green; grass, trees, flowers and shrubs all contribute to improved mental health. Additionally, exposure to blue sky and blue waters help in improving your mental outlook as well. No excuses, get outside (and don’t come home until the street lights turn on). Dr. G

THOUGHTS FOR THE MONTH
From The Therapist: the best mental reset I’ve learned:
If your mind is loud – write
If your mind is empty – read
If your mind is racing – walk
If your mind is tired – sleep
If your mind is sharp – build
Most problems are just mismatched energy. Get the inputs right, the rest follows.
