Let’s talk about the process of healing, how to live a healthy and active life, how to practice effectively, life-changing moves, and supplements to improve your mental health. Plus my progress on my cycling fund raiser for cancer support.
Pretty much all of us have grown up with the medical model of “if you’re not sick, then you’re well.” Once you have signs and symptoms, you can go get a magic pill to feel better. Most of you also know that this is rarely lasts, and that there are actual steps to prevent or reduce the risk of getting ill in the first place.
With chiropractic, most of you come in wanting a favorable outcome; reduction or elimination of pain, dysfunction, restricted movement, etc., but I would like to remind you that I don’t fix anyone; instead, I deliver to you a process for healing and a plan for prevention. Most of the time normal healing is 3 to 6 weeks, if you give it a proper environment for healing. My job is to facilitate and speed up that process.
Remember, life is too short and you’re too young to be going around with pain or restricted movement. Happy Posture Month! People are watching you. Dr. Ben
Riding Lake Tahoe
I have one month to go before I ride my bike 72 miles around Lake Tahoe on June 4th and raise $3500 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I’ve surpassed $2600 so far in fundraising and I’ve ridden nearly 315 miles since March 31st. I’m riding in honor of Mark Johnson, the son-in-law of my friends the Harrises, who was diagnosed with leukemia this past New Year’s eve. I’m also riding in memory of two good friends who passed away from cancer – Steve Schonebaum and Eric Webster. If you would like to help me reach my goal of $3500, please log on to this link: https://pages.lls.org/tnt/losgc/ambbr23/BGriffes. Thank you for being a part of the journey.
